The first Disney+ original series from the United Kingdom, “Wedding Season,” will debut on Disney+ Day on September 8. The romantic comedy-action thriller will be available to stream on Hulu in the United States, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ abroad. In spite of Stefan already having a fiancé, Katie and Stefan fall in love at a wedding and have an affair, which is the plot of the television show.

At Katie’s wedding two months later, her new husband and his entire family are killed. The cops believe Stefan is to blame. Stefan believes Katie is to blame. Furthermore, nobody is certain of the truth. What comes next is an exhilarating journey through the UK and the US as Katie and Stefan flee while attempting to establish their innocence.
The series is produced by George Kane (“Crashing”) and written by upcoming screenwriter Oliver Lyttelton (“Cheaters”). It is produced by Jax Media (“Russian Doll,” “Emily in Paris”) with Brooke Posch, Lilly Burns, and Tony Hernandez serving as executive producers, as well as Dancing Ledge Productions (“The Responder,” “The Salisbury Poisonings,” “New Pope”) alongside Johanna Devereaux from Disney+.
Disney+ is currently developing a number of other U.K. originals, such as “The Ballad of Renegade Nell,” “Culprits,” and “Extraordinary.” According to a recent poll by BARB, the U.K.’s television audience measuring currency, 6.53 million U.K. homes had access to Disney+ in the first quarter of the year, up from 5.49 million in the fourth quarter by a quarterly rise of 19%.
The eight-episode television series, which was created by Jax Media and Disney Ledge Productions, will make its Hulu debut on September 8, 2022.
