Selling The OC Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything you need to know

Published by

If, like one of us, you’ve had a Selling Sunset-sized void in your chest since the fifth season debuted on Netflix in April of this year, don’t worry—Selling the OC, the long-awaited 2nd spin-off series is on the horizon.

We’ll be allowed to binge-watch Selling the OC, a spin-off focusing on a bunch of brand-new brokers selling real estate to the mega-rich from Southern California’s Orange County, beginning Wednesday, August 24. Season veterans Jason and Brett Oppenheim-twin siblings and founding members of the Oppenheim Group-will, of course, lead them.

These 8, 30-minute episodes will indeed be accessible to watch, so you can spread them out through a few evenings or block off four blissful hours to watch the entire season. In any case, here’s what to anticipate.

First, what is Selling the OC about?

Bustle

Selling the OC seems to be more clearly relevant to Selling Sunset than Selling Tampa, which involves a whole other firm named Allure Realty. Selling the OC follows The Oppenheim Group’s growth with a second location in Newport Beach, California.

The brokerage’s founder, Jason Oppenheim, will take the lead as we see an all-new estate team showcase luxurious beachside property in Orange County and participate in some amicable (and perhaps not-so-friendly!) competition.

Plot

The List

“A new pair of realtors face-off, seeking to position oneself at The Oppenheim Group’s second location on the Orange County coastline,” according to the original episode synopsis. Will the strain be too great for all these agents to bear?”

In a chat with Tudum, Netflix’s official partner site, show creator Adam DiVello (the guy behind the other Selling Sunset and the show’s first spin-off, Selling Tampa) revealed a bit more about the series plot.

“From the start, the cast is really crazy; they don’t hold back.” They don’t use filters. They express their feelings. And it’s a pretty dramatic season,” he said on the podium.

While the concert will be plenty of drama, it’ll also appear to be a visual feast. Adam, who previously worked on the series Laguna Beach, which is also based in Orange County, will also accentuate the picturesque vistas of the place itself.

He said to Tudum, “This is such an escapism show, it’s just so wonderful.” I really hope that others fall in love with the location in the same way I had since I first decided to work there.

They’re going to like seeing the beaches, bonfires, and surfers. I can’t wait for folks all around the world who missed Laguna Beach to see it. They’ll view this place and think, ‘It’s mind-boggling how people live down here.’

Trailer

On May 6, 2022, Netflix published an official teaser for Selling the OC. And so it did not let me down. Immediately, turmoil ensues as rumors circulate that a member of the cast and agent Alexandra Rose bonded with a developer in order to obtain a listing.

“I can’t believe the arrogance of spreading stories,” Alexandra Rose retorts—cue a lot of cursing, accusations, and rivalries building. We’re in for a thrilling ride, it appears.

Who stars in the show?

Netflix Life

Together with Jason, Selling the OC will also have 11 fresh faces vying for real estate monarchy, which means you’ll have to pay careful attention and grasp on fast. There really are 3 Alexandras to remember.

There are also a few models, and the realtors aren’t all female. The series has a Selling Sunset premise with Bachelor in Paradise enthusiasm if the steamy trailer is any indicator.

We believe that the ensemble of realtors will be more gender-balanced this time around. The Netflix announcement states, “Sunset is known for its ensemble of ladies (with the few guys typically attempting to avoid being caught in the conflict), but the relationships in the OC show will prove to be a bit different.”

Names joining the cast will include:

Alex Hall

Alexandra Jarvis

Alexandra Rose

Austin Victoria

Brandi Marshall

Gio Helou

Kayla Cardona

Lauren Brito

Polly Brindle

Sean Palmieri

Tyler Stanaland.
