Romanian crime tv show’Umbre’ is the first ever original series on HBO Europe that was broadcast in the United States. It is also the first drama series that was screened at the International Film Festival of Transilvania.

Igor Cobileanski and Bogdan Miricâ have directed this series. The English name of the series is- Shadows. The first season premiered on December 28, 2014, on HBO Romania. The second season aired in nineteen countries on November 12, 2017.

It was nominated at the Serial Killer festival for Best TV CEE Series award. The third season got renewed in September of 2018. The seven episodes third season premiered on November 20, 2019.

The plot of the series revolves around a man named Relu who is an enforcer for a small-time mob boss of Romania named Doru Ana. Relu struggles to hide his job from his family. But when a man is accidentally killed by him on a mission, Relu finds it hard to keep the oppressive lies under the surface anymore.

American miniseries ‘We Own This City’ is adapted from the same named nonfiction book by Justin Fenton. Reinaldo Marcus Green directed and George Pelecanos and David Simon developed the series.

The plot of the series revolves around the Baltimore Police Department and the rise and fall of the Gun Trace Task Force and its corruption.

Sergeant Wayne Jenkins is one of the eight officers of that department who is convicted of a number of corruption charges. The story is told in a non-linear narrative frequently using flashbacks.

The cast members of the series include Jamie Hector playing Sean Suiter, Delaney Williams starring as Kevin Davis, Josh Charles playing Daniel Hersl, Don Harvey starring as John Sieracki, and Jon Bernthal as Sgt.

The plot is set in the city of Baltimore and revolves around Detective James McNulty as his team investigates crimes to solve the bridge between the law enforcement agencies and the drug kingpins.
