Review that will make you watch this series:

Tasteful, funny, and painfully relatable at times. As someone who’s been in and out of the system for petty crimes, I think this show sheds a delightfully earnest light on the sometimes overseen or intentionally hidden aspects of life that are heavily influenced by seemingly trivial slip-ups or misdeeds.

I’m an American viewer for what it’s worth. I was worried this show would be more like most Netflix series that overcompensate for bad writing with shock value, but so far this series has provided a well-rounded comedy/drama experience without needing to show us terrible horrors or underage sex.

Each adult situation this show portrays seems to come from a place of understanding and experience as if the writers themselves have lived variations of the stories and have grown from them enough to look back and present in comical antidotes. It’s got a little Modern Family energy to it that I enjoy. 5/5 for me. Rare to find the comedy of this caliber these days. -Miguel Dorado
