Release Date of Chucky Season 2
When the remaining episode of season 1 premiered on November 30, 2021, it was quickly followed by the official announcement of Season 2.
The shooting began in Toronto in April 2022 and is anticipated to finish in August 2022.
According to EW.com, Chucky Season 2 will premiere on 5 October 2022.
Expected Plotline
Season 2 will be picking up from where its predecessor left off.
Season 1 covered Jake’s coming out, a slew of annoying murders
And Chucky’s backstory left plenty of unanswered questions which can only be revealed in season 2.
Season 1 additionally covered a spooky holiday episode where Chucky is seen donning a hello Kitty mask and around trick-or-treating.
Chucky Season 2 will actually cover the part after Andy ends up in a doll-filled truck, in which he’s held at gunpoint by a possessed Tiffany doll.
Not only that, but the approaching season will also uncover Jake and Devon’s relationship, along with the aftermath of Nica being captive.
Season 1 premiered on Syfy and USA network in Fall 2022. It’s also available on Peacock.
But, the company has removed child’s Play from its horror list. Chucky season 2 will be premiering on Syfy and USA network this October 2022.
Set after the events of Cult of Chucky, we saw season 1, Jake Wheeler, a teenage boy suffering from his sexuality, picks up the possessed ‘good guy’ doll at a backyard sale.
As he falls under the doll’s malign influence, Jake becomes the suspect in several strange murders, drawing in many of Chucky’s preceding victims.
Described as a “coming of age” story the display was praised for tackling subject matters surrounding sexuality and identification while dealing with maintaining its horrific spirit.
With critiques that good, then it was inevitable then that the killer doll might return once more, and a second season became announced in November 2021.
