Issa Rae bust her pregnancy news on Instagram

Issa Rae has constantly been notoriously personal about her private life (she casually found out about her wonderful wedding as an “impromptu photoshoot” on Instagram). However, the Emmy-nominated famous person has nonetheless needed to stay clear of the occasional rumor.

In her July Today cover story, Rae found out she was formerly required to shut down the hypothesis about being pregnant with her mother and sister, at that.

Issa Rae became organized to ignore all pregnant rumors surrounding her, and her husband felt compelled to close them down as quickly as her mother began to accept the gossip as true.

“My sister sent me a screenshot of my mother texting her an article like, ‘Did she inform you … Are the rumors true?’ I became like, ‘What?!'” she recalled in TODAY’s first-ever digital cover.

“[My sister] became like, ‘Not Mom believing in gossip!’ I became like, ‘But she texted you, and she or he didn’t even ask me!’ I’m like, ‘Mom, a pregnancy … you think I might hide a grandchild from you? That you’ve been begging for?!’

“So I had to mention something, as it got out of hand.” The “Insecure” actor took to Twitter in March to clarify that she and her husband Louis Diame have been not expecting their first child.

“LET A BITCH EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY,” she tweeted, responding to the latest rumors she can be awaiting a baby. In case her message became no longer clear, she declared, “I am now no longer pregnant, f–kyouverymuch.” Although they’re not prepared to have kids, she isn’t ruling out the idea.

“I’m not sure. Maybe if I ever have a child, I’ll feel like, ‘Everybody needs to look at this thing!’ I don’t know!” she questioned about keeping her children private. Rae, 37, and Diame married in July 2021 in the South of France.

The “Rap Sh! the t” famous person introduced the information in a hilarious put-up, joking approximately a fancy “impromptu picture graph shoot” she staged wearing Vera Wang.

Engagement rumors sparked in early 2019 whilst Rae wore a massive diamond ring on the cover of Essence magazine. Reps for Rae wouldn’t touch upon the connection at the time, but her “Insecure” co-stars showed the information rapidly after.

“We all found out in exclusive ways due to the fact we’re all on different text chains,” Jay Ellis instructed Entertainment Tonight in an interview one week after the cover reveal. “We speak at exclusive times, so we all found out at exclusive instances in different approaches.”

Aside from preserving her non-public enterprise under wraps, Rae has her hands quite complete these days with a boatload of professional projects. Her new rap-stimulated HBO Max collection subsequently premieres on July 21; she’s starring in B.J. Novak’s directorial debut “Vengeance,” which hits theatres on July 29.

She has a function in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated “Barbie” movie; and she’s working on a movie screenplay of her own (which she might also add or may not star in, too).
