Motorola Edge 30 Pro: Price, Specifications and Much more

Motorola Edge 30 Pro: Motorola is attempting to compete in the flagship smartphone segment. This time, its most refined model is also available in the United States, so it requires special attention. The Moto Edge 30 Pro is a flagship phone that differs significantly from the previous model in terms of features. However, in terms of design, they are very similar.

Moto phones usually come with splash resistance, but this time it’s official. Dust and splash resistance is rated as IP52.

Price of Motorola Edge 30 Pro

Motorola Moto Edge 30 Pro was released in India on February 24, 2022 (Official) with an introductory price of Rs 55,999 and came in various colors, including Stardust White and Cosmos Blue. Furthermore, the mobile phone measures 162.66 mm x 74.95 mm x 8.79 mm and weighs approximately 196 grams. The Motorola smartphone has a 6.7-inch (17.02-cm) display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution.

Design and Display

This Motorola is not a small phone. Yes, it’s not the biggest out there, thanks to its thin display bezels, but I found it a bit of a handful. Its body is boxier in real life, which doesn’t help with ergonomics. Even though it has a matte back, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is quite slippery, so you should always use it with a case. At the very least, the phone feels light and thin, especially considering its size.

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro’s screen has a resolution of 2400 x 1080, making it a stretched 1080p display. It is not a very high resolution, but it is sufficient to produce sharp images of high quality. Color reproduction is also excellent, though we noticed a tinge of blue on overly white screens. During normal use, it is not particularly visible. The brightness controls are adequate but not the best we’ve seen.

As previously stated, the front has extremely small bezels. The edges of the display are rounded, and the phone’s top and bottom bezels appear symmetrical. This gives the front of the Edge 30 Pro a very balanced appearance. In the center is a punch-hole camera.

Camera

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has three cameras:

  • A main 50 MP camera
  • A wide-angle 50 MP camera
  • A depth camera with a resolution of 2 MP

The front-facing camera has a resolution of 60 megapixels. Thus, Motorola has chosen to reduce the megapixel count from 108 in the previous model to 50, proving once again that more megapixels do not always equate to a better camera.

The selfie camera can also produce high-quality images with good contrast, but it is susceptible to motion blur. In addition, you need a steady pair of hands when photographing, especially if the lighting is poor.

Regarding a video, the Edge 30 Pro can record up to 8K at 30 frames per second or FHD at 60 frames per second. However, the 8K recordings can become shaky when moving your hands, indicating that image stabilization isn’t the best at the highest resolution.

Overall, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a good selection of camera modes, including portrait, full 50 MP resolution, and a Pro mode that gives you access to manual focus, ISO, and other settings.

Performance of Motorola Edge 30 Pro

With 12 GB of RAM, you can expect uncompromised performance. Everything works fast and smoothly, including the interface, applications, and even the most resource-intensive games.

Other flagship-level features are also present in the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. For example, it supports not only Sub-6GHz 5G but also mmWave. This means that it is compatible with the fastest 5G bands and can achieve speeds of up to 4 Gbits per second.

It’s not surprising that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro ranks first in Geekbench. We received a single-core score of 1203, a multi-core score of 3498, and a single-core score of 1195 on our tests. In addition, the phone scored 8040 in 3DMark Wild Life, putting it near the top of the list.
