The Google Pixel 6a Price, Phone Specifications, Launch Date, and Latest Information

The Google Pixel 6a is a terrific option for anyone searching for a new Android smartphone with a set of excellent cameras, Google’s stock Android experience, and quick internals.

The Pixel 6a is not the end of the line, though. There are several options available in the mid-range smartphone market from manufacturers including Samsung, Motorola, TCL, and OnePlus.

Additionally, Nothing earlier this week introduced its first entry-level smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1. Additionally, Nothing Phone (1) provides a lot of value for your money, just like the Google Pixel 6a does.

This summer, the Google Pixel 6a vs. Nothing Phone 1 debate will undoubtedly be one of the hot issues. However, here are some reasons why we think you should choose the Google Pixel 6a instead of Nothing Phone (1).

Reasons to choose the Google Pixel 6a over a feature phone

1. Quicker Android updates 

Google Pixel smartphones will always be the first to receive Android updates, even while nothing guarantees that the Phone (1) will receive three years of significant Android updates, similar to what Google is giving with the Pixel 6a.

The Google Pixel 6a will also get monthly security patch updates. The Nothing Phone 1 will, however, only get security updates every two months.

2. Quicker Android updates and Pixel-only features

Google Pixel smartphones will always be the first to receive Android updates, even while nothing guarantees that the Phone (1) will receive three years of significant Android updates, similar to what Google is giving with the Pixel 6a. Additionally, Google Pixel 6a will get security patch updates on a regular basis.

Possessing a Google Pixel 6a has additional advantages, like access to Pixel-only services. You may take advantage of features like Google Assistant voice typing (which enables precise voice dictation without using the internet), Live HDR, offline translations, photo-editing tools like Face Unblur and Magic Eraser, among many more, on the Google Pixel 6a. The Nothing Phone, however, lacks these features (1).

3. A higher IP ranking

Although the Gorilla Glass 5 on the Nothing Phone 1 is more durable than the Gorilla Glass 3 on the Pixel 6a, the smartphone falls short in terms of IP certification.

You can count on the Google Pixel smartphones to take stunning images in any lighting situation. Although we haven’t tested the cameras on Nothing Phone 1 yet and haven’t made a final choice, it’s incredibly challenging to outperform Google in this area.

5. A quicker processor

Comparing the Pixel 6a to the Nothing Phone, the Pixel 6a has a faster chipset (1). The Google Tensor SoC, the company’s flagship chip, is also used in the Pixel 6a and Pixel 6 Pro. The Google Tensor chip, as we have all learned, is constructed using a 5nm node process.

It has an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A55 cores running at 1.8GHz, two Cortex-X1 cores running at 2.8GHz, and two Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.25GHz. Additionally, it has sophisticated ML and AI capabilities.

6. Slim and lightweight

Compared to the Nothing Phone 1, the Pixel 6a is smaller and lighter.  Pixel 6a weighs only 178 grams, compared to the Nothing Phone (1)’s weight of almost 193 grams.

The Pixel 6a would fit in your hands better than the Nothing Phone 1 thanks to its slightly smaller 6.1-inch display and smaller overall proportions. Pixel 6a is a great choice if you’re searching for a smartphone that’s portable and feels small.
