Arcane, an animated League of Legends series from Riot Games, has just received a Season 2 renewal at Netflix after a tense Season 1 cliffhanger.

During the two-day Undercity Nights festivities on Saturday, Riot Games and Netflix announced the renewal. In the second season, Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, and Katie Leung will all return as Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn Kiramman, respectively. Season 2 is currently being made.

The League of Legends worlds Piltover and the oppressive subterranean of Zaun are the settings for the series, which debuted earlier in November.

Is ‘Arcane’ renewed for season 2?

Arcane Season 2 currently lacks a formal release date, which is unfortunate. However, we are certain that it won’t be returning to our televisions in 2022.

Netflix said that season 2 of Arcane development started soon after the animated series debuted on the service in November 2021. Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent promised fans of the program that the “wait” for the second season won’t be as lengthy as they may have thought given the fact that the first season took six years to finish.

Nicolo Laurent announced the news in a tweet sent to his followers in November.

Arcane Season 2 Plot: What will happen in next?

Arcane Season 2 won’t have an official storyline summary from Netflix for a while, but knowing that Season 1 ended on a shocking cliffhanger, we can guess how the first few episodes will pan out.

Just after the tragic dinner scene in which Jinx unintentionally kills Silco, Jayce (voiced by Kevin Alejandro) calls for a Council vote to grant Zaun independence in Arcane, The Monster You Created, episode nine. The motion was approved, but Jinx (Ella Purnell), still reeling from Silco’s passing, launched a powerful Hextech rocket towards the Council building.
The early Arcane Season 2 episodes are anticipated to intensify the dispute between Piltover and Zaun, leading to the referendum on Zaun’s independence being postponed, most possibly permanently. This is because tensions between the two cities are already high.

League of Legends fans is guessing about who will take Silco’s place as the main antagonist of Arcane Season 2, with many saying that Viktor, who was more callous and uncaring in the MOBA game than his Netflix counterpart, will be a significant antagonist. Don’t anticipate Viktor to be the only menace in the sequel, though; fans are predicting to see additional League of Legends bad guys.
