Season 1 Recap
The plot centers on a police secretary who works at the Homicide Police Station in Sao Paulo. When she begins researching suicide and a suspicious call from an agitated woman, her life takes an unexpected turn.
Well, in Season 1, we were introduced to Veronica, a female police clerk who was undervalued due to the fact that she was a woman working in a profession that was dominated by men. Veronica was working in the sloppiest police station in Sao Paulo when she saw a suicide that would eventually alter the course of her life.
In Chief Wilson Carvala’s office, a heartbroken father of a rape victim is seated. Marta Campos, who is outraged, is also present, but the chief of police simply ignores her.
When the authorities brought the culprit of the rape into the station, the grieving father suddenly pulled out a revolver. The cops were able to remove the revolver from his grasp. Before anyone could intervene, a weeping Marta picked up the gun and shot herself in the end.
The suicide incident was captured on camera, and someone posted the video online. Carvala is dissatisfied with the negative reputation they are receiving, so he grudgingly agrees to let Veronica investigate Marta’s circumstances.
