9-1-1 Season 6: Update On Release Date & Every Other Update

After a successful fifth season, 9-1-1 season 6 has officially been announced. This action-drama has remained one of Fox’s top-rated series since its 2018 debut. And, even leading to the spin-off 9-1-1: Lone Star. With an exceptional cast, plot lines that evoke a wide range of emotions, and representation of marginalized groups, it’s no surprise people want more.

9-1-1 follows a group of first responders as they balance their personal lives with the emergencies they manage across Los Angeles. Each season draws you deeper into the characters’ lives and is jam-packed with nonstop action. Season 5 was no different, beginning with a ransomware attack that led to a city-wide blackout.

Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Aisha Hinds, and Kenneth Choi are all expected to reprise their roles. Despite speculation that Ryan Guzman would be leaving, both he and his on-screen son, Gavin McHugh, are expected to return. Though unconfirmed, it is unlikely that Megan West will appear again, after her character’s breakup with Stark’s character, Buck. While no major cast changes are predicted for season 6, executive producer Kristen Reidel did share, that it would be fun to mix up the character pairings more often.
