Intimacy Season 2 Renewal Status, and What About the Cast Members?

Intimacy Season 2  Updates: The Spanish drama that has become a recent favorite of the fans and one of the most popular thriller series on Netflix. Directed by Jorge Torregrossa, Ben Gutteridge, Koldo Almandoz, and Marta Font this series is produced by Txintxua Films.

The plot of the story revolves around an s*x tape who comes to the surface to turn the lives of a woman upside down. The s*xual video features a promising and aspiring politician who is now running for Bilbao’s Mayorship. The incident forces four women to struggle to balance between their private and public lives.

The primary cast members of the series are Itziar Ituño, Patricia López Arnaiz, Verónica Echegui, Emma Suárez, Ana Wagener, Fernando Albizu, Yune Nogueiras, Marc Martínez, Jaime Zatarain etc.

The series premiered on June 10, 2022, on Netflix. There is yet no news of the confirmation of a newer season, but the fact remains that the first season has just concluded. it’s expected that a new season will eventually be renewed.

Malen Zubiri played by Itziar Ituño:

The primary character Malen is played by the Spanish actress Itziar Ituño Martínez, famed for playing the role of Raquel Murillo aka Lisbon. Born in Basauri, Martínez is trained in acting at Basauri Theater School.

Her acting career began with short films ‘Ricardo’, ‘La lección’, ‘Al, Ben & Gail’. In 2003 she starred in the main role of Raquel in the thriller movie ‘El final de la niche. The next year she played the role of Elena in ‘Agujeros en el Cielo.

In 2007, 2008, and 2012 she appeared in the other three short films ‘Silencios’, ‘Entereza’, and ‘Bárbara’. In Patxi Barko’s ‘Dragoi Ehiztaria’ Ituño starred as Maddalen in 2012. Two years later she was cast in a Basque language Spanish movie ‘Loreak’ in the role of Lourdes. The movie in the United States gets released as ‘Flowers’.

In the 2017 period fantasy horror dark comedy movie ‘Errementari’, Ituño played the role of Ana. The same year she also starred in a short film ‘Tarde para el recreo’ before starring in another short film ‘Voces.

The same year she co-starred with Belén Rueda, Javier Rey, Aura Garrido, Manolo Solo in the role of Dra. Guevara in Spanish action adventure and psychological crime thriller movie of Daniel Calparsoro.

From 1999 to 2001 and from 2005 to 2015 Ituño starred as Nekane Beitia in Basque soap-opera ‘Goenkale’ along with Barbara Goenaga, Miren Ibarguren, Aitor Luna, etc. She acted in more than 1500 episodes of the series.

Before being cast in ‘La casa de Papel (‘Money Heist’ in English), Ituño appeared in weekly Spanish sketch comedy ‘Vaya Semanita’, Spanish prime time tv series ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’, and in Spanish thriller drama ‘Pulsaciones’.

Begoña Uribe played by Patricia López Arnaiz:

Another main character Begoña or simply Bego is played by Spanish actress Patricia López Arnaiz. She appeared in the films ‘Wounded’ and ‘Lasa and Zabala in 2013 and 2014 respectively. The next year she appeared in the Spanish drama ‘An Autumn Without Berlin’ where her co-star in ‘Intimacy’ Itziar Ituño also starred.

In 2017 she played the role of Rosaura Salazar in the Spanish thriller ‘El guardián invisible’ (English name: ‘The Invisible Guardian’). She also starred in the Spanish-French movie ‘The Tree of Blood’ in 2018, the Spanish-Argentine historical film ‘While at War and supernatural crime thriller ‘The Legacy of the Bones in 2019, Spanish-German movie ‘Offering to the Storm in 2020.

Her most significant role is that of Lide, the main character of David Pérez Sañudo’s Spanish drama ‘Ane is Missing’ in 2020 for which she won Goya Award for Best Actress.

In 2021 she starred in the Spanish film ‘The Daughter’ and the Spanish-Greek film ‘Mediterraneo: The Law of the Sea’. The tv series that she starred in are ‘What a Sad Life’, ‘A Different View’, ‘The Plague’, ‘The Invisible Line’, ‘Feria: The Darkest Light’.
