The Responder Season 2 Makers Confirmed Next Season of the Series

Published by

Great news for The Responder season 2 is on its way. The BBC officially approved season two of The Responder in March 2022, but this was anticipated among fans, given the show’s huge success. With its premiere, the show gained more than a whopping 10 million viewers and now season 2 of the show is in talks.

The second series has yet to begin filming because it will be set in Liverpool. Considering how long it takes to edit and record an episode, we expect the show to return in early 2023, which is when season one aired, from January to early February.

The Responder tells the story of Chris Carson, an urgent response officer on his beat in Liverpool, who has been sent to many night shifts. It’s a high-pressure, never-ending night-time environment where his existence is now dependent on the rookie partner he’s been compelled to work with.

Chris has more on his mind than his profession, as his personal life is in disarray, and his career is ethically tainted. A route to redemption arises in the shape of a teenage heroin addict as he tries to retain control of his mental health.
