Dell G series is a series of laptops that always have been providing great gaming performance with internal specifications. Dell G15 is a successor of Dell G13, with a new design, more varients and specifications to choose and a budget-friendly price.
Dell G Series- About the laptop:
Design: Dell G15 SE has a plastic body. Dell has downgraded the quality of the laptop, but the laptop is sturdy and feels solid. There is very less slack in the display and the keyboard. It is a thick laptop of 26.9mm. It is heavy though, with a maximum weight of 2.6kgs. The right-left and back sides of the laptop have ports. The bottom and sides of the laptop have many vents to let that big graphic card breathe.
Trackpad & Keyboard: The trackpad of the G15 is rectangular, and feels a little smaller, and cheap. Although, it supports all the gestures of Windows 11. The Keyboard of the G15 is backlit. The G15 SE has an RGB keyboard. It has a numerical pad too on the right. The keyboard is normal, with decent travel, and is very good to use.
Processor: Dell G15 has three processor variants:
– AMD Ryzen 7
– 12th Gen Intel Core i5
– 12th Gen Intel Core i7
It also has three graphics card specifications:
-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 6GB GDDR6
-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, 4GB GDDR6
-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, 4GB GDDR6
It has 16GB RAM, which is distributed in two slots of 8GB RAM each. RAM type is LPDDR5M with 512GB & 1TB M.2 Gen 4 PCIe, SSD storage.
The laptop is heavily configurable, but Dell hasn’t compromised on the performance of the laptop. It should be a great-performing laptop.
Display: Dell G15 has two specifications for display:
– A 15.6-inch FHD display, with 1920 X 1080 resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate. It is a WVA panel, with LED-Backlit, with 250 nits of brightness.
– A 15.6-inch FHD display, with 1920 X 1080 resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate. It is a WVA panel, with LED-Backlit and 300 nits of brightness.
Whereas the special edition, that is, G15 SE has a 15.6-inch QHD display with 2560 X 1400 resolution. It has 240Hz Refresh Rate, with 400 nits brightness.
Camera and Speaker: G15/G15 SE has an HD RGB camera with a digital-array microphone in camera assembly, which is good for decent video calls or online classes. It has 1 headphone jack, with a Stereo speaker setup of 2 W X 2.5 W.
Battery and Connectivity: G15/G15 SE has 3 cells, of 56W integrated which can be charged by a 180W AC adapter. It also has Wi-Fi 6 support. Dell G15 gets Bluetooth 5.0 support whereas the G15 SE jas Bluetooth 5.2.
All in all, Dell G15 is a great gaming laptop, although Dell has done cost-cutting on body and design. It looks more like Alienware, but with Dell Design language. It is a great laptop to use for daily usage and a high gaming experience.
