The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 Update: “It isn’t just the story of a dystopian future, it’s also an abstract, symbolic way of talking about the present”. The popular series based on an updated version of Margaret Atwood’s novel, The Handmaid’s Tale, makes it all the more terrible to envisage Gilead’s totalitarian theocracy based on sex slavery coming to true in the future. It is about horrifying female abuse that still occurs in today’s world.
With the great success of Season 4, Hulu is ready with The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 which is soon going to premiere in 2022, starring Elizabeth Moss as June Osborne, Yvonne Strahovski as Serena Joy Waterford, Joseph Fiennes as Fred Waterford, Ann Dowd as Aunt Lydia Clement, Amanda Brugel as Rita blue, O-T Fagbenle as Luke Bankole, Alexis Bledel as Emily Malek.
There is still much happening in Gilead, so it seems like the series may revisit the character again soon. Many of the cast from season 4 is expected to return for season 5. There will also be new characters joining the series as Ester Keys played by McKenna Grace and Medellin Brewer, who will also join the series.
The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5: Possible Release Date
Gilead’s next move will be the subject of the following season. Season 5 will pick up where Season 4 left off, with June traveling to Canada and taking Fred to court, where she revealed the horrible atrocities he committed against women and Gilead to the rest of the world. The last episode of June Osborne is expected to be a revelation.
According to the trailer, the forthcoming season will be a wild adventure for those in search of answers. June will attempt to contact her daughter while ensuring the safety of her newborn, preferably in Canada.
Although, for those who have been watching June attentively and observed the wrath that erupted when Fred offered her an apology based only on selfish motives, June’s current situation, like all of her previous decisions, puts her in a hazardous position.
What will happen to June when she is finally free of her torment will be a question. Serena’s baby will be raised in what manner? plus a slew of other questions.
