The Future Diary Season 2 Update: Masaya Arai and Kotaro Itani directed the Japanese reality show that is the reboot of the popular reality series that ran from 1998 to 2002. The show presents complete strangers who are selected to live in a romantic story. They have to follow a script which is written roughly in a diary.

They will live out the semi-fictional story in their own words. But while acting out the script or the storyline the story can affect their way of viewing each other.

They often begin to feel romantically for the stranger. After a significant amount of time, the audience will be wondering if the scripted romantic adventure of the cast will turn into a real romance.

This Japanese reality tv show belongs to the Terrace House franchise. The show follows ‘Terrace House: Closing Door’ and precedes ‘Terrace House: Aloha State’. The show presents ten single adults who have one thing in common. They are only adept at insignificant flings but are not able to develop long-term relationships.

For four weeks they live in a house and mingle with each other. But they have to maintain one single rule. They cannot engage in physical intimacy. If anyone breaks the rule at any point of the game, the total amount of prize money will be reduced. A virtual assistant called Lana hosts the whole show.

The show premiered on April 17, 2020, on Netflix.
