Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Season 2 Update: Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki directed this Japanese ONA anime of the Original Net Animation series that is adapted from the ‘Ghost in the Shell’ manga created by Masamune Shirow in the 1980s. The setting of the series is the sub-continuity of Stand Alone Complex.
The plot of the series is set in the year 2045 when the currency of paper and electronic has been decreased drastically by the Simultaneous Global Default, a disaster in the economy. In this situation, the four big nations have to carry on an ongoing “Sustainable War” in order to keep the economy alive.
The members of the Public Security Section 9 including Motoko, Batou have been contacted under the group called Ghost as mercenaries.

When they reach 300 years far away in the future, they discover an enemy called Revisions fighting with mechanical giant monsters. Daisuke with his friends has to fight against those monsters and enemies in order to recover their present day.
