Panchayat Season 2 Updates: Its delightful news for OTT fans as the popular comedy-drama web series Panchayat is back with this second season.
After winning the hearts of fans with the first season, Panchayat Season 2 is all set to go on air on May 20. In the first season, popular websites actor Jitendra Kumar popularly known as Jitu Bhaiya was in lead alongside Raghuvir Yadav and Neena Gupta.
The story revolves around Abhishek, a young engineering graduate who joins as secretary of a panchayat office in the village named Phulera he is not happy with his job and decides to prepare for the CAT exam to pursue MBA but the path isn’t easy as he is in a rural area with lots of distractions.
Panchayat Season 2 Release Date
Panchayat 1 was released in April 2020 and was produced by The Viral Fever, the makers of popular series like Kota Factory and Hostel Daze. The season made a huge impact and to an extent that fans fell in love with rural India. Amazon Prime Video India shared the teaser of the series on social media with its release date. The teaser shows Jitendra on a water tank while Rinki (Pradhan ji’s daughter) coughs from behind and he goes on to look for her.
Well, the teaser confirmed that the second season will show a love angle in Abhishek’s life which makes it even more interesting. The teaser was released on May 3 and it hit 500k views on YouTube in just 6 hours. Season 2 is coming on 22nd May, 2022.
Season 2 is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra. In April Amazon prime posted some clips of Panchayat Season 2 to tease the many and fans knew that the second season is around the corner. The first season did extremely well and touched the hearts of many as the direction is very fans friendly and can be watched with even family. It will be interesting to see how the second season will play out.
