Lara Jean preserves her love letters in a hatbox that she received from her mother. These do not love letters written for her; they’re letters she’s written herself, one for each boy that she’s ever loved.
She writes them to pour her heart and soul into, all the things she would never say in person since her letters are solely for her eyes. Until Lara Jean’s secret letters are mailed, and her love life swings from imaginary to out of control.

Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper) ends up living with his parents after losing his career and wife and spending time in a mental facility. He wants to get his life back on track and reconcile with his wife, but his parents would be content if he only shared their love of the Philadelphia Eagles.

The message of Silver Linings Playbook is more profound and impactful than the superficial sloganeering of previous romantic comedies. This movie should be a definite selection on your list for ‘valentine special’ movies.
