Mortal Kombat 2 or the Sequel has been greenlit by the Hollywood Production Studio ‘New Light’ and the most interesting update is that Jeremy Slater has been hired as the scriptwriter who has also worked on Marvel’s Moon Knight, which is about to be released very soon on Disney Plus.
The series will be based on Video Game with the same name created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, and as per the reports of The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be a sequel to Mortal Combat which was released in April 2021 at HBO Max as well as in the theaters.
As the first movie was directed by Simon McQuoid starring Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Joe Taslim, Mehcad Brooks, Matilda Kimber, Laura Brent, Tadanobu Asano, Hiroyuki Sanada, Chin Han, Ludi Lin, and Max Huang, But the director for the second installment has not been announced yet, The production house just announced about the movie and the writer, But as it’s the sequel so we may confirm that the few casts from the first movie will surely appear in the movie.
