Morbius delayed: Morbius was about to hit the theaters on Jan 28, 2022, and fans of SONY and Marvel were excited to watch the story of one of the most-appreciated anti-hero characters of Marvel Comics. But a few days back SONY delayed the release date of the movie to April 1, 2022, without any reason.
Since then the fans are saying that the movie has been delayed to add Andrew Garfield’s cameo at the end credits of the movie. Since then a hashtag is also trending to make The Amazing Spider-Man 3, which was supposed to be the last movie in the amazing Spider-Man Franchise. Mobius which titular role played by Jared Leto had told Screenrant that Morbius will expand the Spider-Man Universe, Hence we can say that the film will have the end-credit scene of The Amazing Spider-Man or he can be in a cameo on the post-credit.
Is Morbius delayed due to just adding Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man in the end credits?
Although Morbius has already been delayed the second or third time as firstly it was about to release on the 10th of July, 2020. Then due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie was postponed, then again in March 19, 2021, and October 8, 2021, and now again it’s got delayed.
Every time the movie was delayed due to the COVID-19 situations and worldwide lockdown so I think the movie has been delayed this time also just because of the new variant of COVID called Omicron which is also spreading vigorously and thousands have already died due to the new variant of the virus.
So, many countries could announce lockdown in many states in the coming weeks that’s why the mark
eting team of Marvel and SONY has decided to delay the release date of Morbius to April.
They also want that Spider-Man: No Way Home collect more revenue, that could also be the reason. If SONY will release Morbius then they have to take off the Spider-Man: No Way Home from the theaters.
These two reasons are the more possible reasons. But if SONY has already decided of making The Amazing Spider-Man 3 then we can also say that they may have decided to show the return of Andrew Garfield as The Amazing Spider-Man again in the SONY’s Universe and that’s how they can connect Veno and The Amazing Spider-Man. AS we already know that Morbius is in Venom’s Universe. So it could be the best possible way to tease about the TASM3 to the Spider-Man fans.
As SONY have seen the revenue of Spider-Man: No Way Home and they know Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man can be a very profitable project for them.
