Nick Cannon Says He Was Afraid to Share the News of His Son’s Death

Nick Cannon Updates: In an episode of Nick Cannon’s show he revealed that he was hesitant to share the news of his as well as Alyssa Scott’s son’s demise who died of brain cancer. He said, “I’ve been torn to come to work, get out of bed sometimes. But, the beauty of comedy, the beauty of humor, is to bring joy to people even in their toughest times.

That’s our job as artists, entertainers, specifically even comedians, is to bring smiles to people, I still want to be able to make you smile. When you smile, I smile, and I think that’s the energy that we need.” He also said that he was reluctant to share this news because of two reasons.

He elaborates, ” Initially, just because I knew it is difficult to keep it all together, but then the thing that I still struggle with every day, is that I never want to feel exploited. I never want to feel like I’m using this as content. I’m definitely not a woe-is-me type of person. I’m usually a kind of guy that keeps it all in and I’m like, I’m good, even though I’m not good.”

He elaborated that he’s come here to learn more and was also grateful to the people who have loved and comforted him. Adding to this, he said that now he has a new purpose in life and that is all because of his son, Zen.

He said that Scott is trying to cope with the loss and thanked her for the Instagram tribute she posted earlier. Scott mentioned in her post that both  of them have been together in this race and they keep each other going in the race of life.

It had been previously shared by Cannon that Zen got diagnosed with hydrocephalus. He added that Zen had undergone a brain surgery but things got worse when the tumor started growing on a great rate.
