The Suicide Squad: Will Smith Responds to his Return as Deadshot

The Suicide Squad Updates: In David Aiyer’s Suicide Squad of 2017 we all had loved Will Smith’s character as Deadshot. There was everything in the movie about him, his character arc, character development, good background story, and emotional family drama.

Fans loved the movie and his character also. But in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad 2021 they missed Deadshot and instead of them, they got Idris Elba’s Bloodshot. They felt that DCEU has abandoned such a good character as nothing.

In the recent interview, James Gunn was asked the question about Will Smith’s Deadshot. He replied that “Will was busy at the time we asked him to shoot for the movie. Fans doesn’t have to be disappointed they might see him in a sequel of Suicide Squad”. He also told that he is in contact with Warner Bros for assigning him for the next DC project. It might be the next sequel of Suicide Squad.

James Gunn is currently working on a project in DC the HBO Max series ‘PeaceMaker’ who was impressive in The Suicide Squad 2021.

Recently Will Smith was also asked about his return as Deadshot. He told He will love to play the role again if Warner Bros will want him and go to him with a proper approach.

The Suicide Squad: What Will Smith Shared?

Fans were thinking that he got into conflict with Warner Bros and he also denied that saying, he was busy in other projects so he didn’t return as his character Deadshot. He was asked also but he denied it because of his workload on his current project.

Fans will love to see him in his character as Deadshot. Also, fans were demanding his solo movie on this character but there are no rumors yet from Warner Bros about this.

In The Suicide Squad 2021, Idris Elba’s Bloodshot was inspired by Will Smith’s Deadshot. But there was a less emotional angle for this character and fans get least connected to his character.

As Fans, we will have to wait for him to return all we can hope for is his good and sensible return. This character doesn’t need any reboot because Will Smith seems to be the perfect actor to play this role.
