God of War: Ragnarok Updates: Another Sony’s State of Play passes without any mention of God Of War: Ragnarok, but there is a reason why the game was missing. We have only seen the teaser last year and fans have been waiting ever since to see the release of the game.

While many fans were awaiting the game’s release, this event focused on third-party games coming to PS5 and PS4. It’s almost been a full year since the teaser was released at the 2020 PS5 showcase. Since then, there has been no mention whatsoever.

The lack of knowledge about Ragnarok (which isn’t even officially called “Ragnarok”) is likely at least partially due to how the COVID-19 pandemic affected many developers throughout 2020. Initially, it was slated to release in 2021, just three years after the reboot game, but it was delayed to 2022 June.

According to Santa Monica Studio, they wanted to make sure that their team of developers are safe during the pandemic and also said that they wanted to release a bug-free gaming experience and deliver a “top-quality game”. This wait has just made fans more anxious about what more might be added to the game.

The game probably is coming as another Showcase later this year and that is the reason why it didn’t appear in this year’s State of Play.

When it announced the event, PlayStation noted first-party games like Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West would not make an appearance, but it said fans should “Stay tuned throughout the summer” for “more updates soon.”. Many fans are also announcing that there might be a new trailer for the game.

According to reports, God Of War: Ragnarok is the most awaited game this year. Horizon Forbidden West’s first look came in the form of a dedicated State of Play in May. Ragnarok could very well get a similar treatment, but if the PlayStation Experience comes to fruition, it would most likely be shown there. Well, let us know your thoughts on the delay.
