Angelina Jolie to cut business ties with ex-husband Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie Updates: Hollywood star Angelina Jolie filed a fresh court document in hopes to offload her stake in French winery business with ex-husband Brad Pitt. The actress wants the court to lift a temporary freeze on the sale of joint assets.

Jolie reached Pratt’s team and asked for an informal session rather than a formal court session, who said they would be in contact but no arrangements have been made yet. Brad has been over the moon since he got 50/50 custody of their 5 minor children. Jolie was disappointed in the decision and wants to fight again in court regarding that.

The Oscar winner recently filed documents asking for a judge to life restraining order of transfer of assets, something which is put when a divorce is filed. Her lawyer states that Jolie’s company and Brad’s company Mondo Bongo LLC are equal shareholders.

The Oscar winners couldn’t come to an agreement on the price of the buyout. She has an offer on the table, according to her lawyer. She is worried about the buyer pulling out at the last moment and wants the refraining order to be lifted. Chateau Miraval has both financial and sentimental value for the pair as they got married at its estate in 2014.

Jolie filed a divorce in 2016, and in May 2021, Pitt received joint custody of their children. Jolie was recently spotted with The Weeknd having dinner. On June 30, she filed an ex parte application to have the ATROs lifted, but it was denied “for lack of showing of immediate danger/irreparable harm or immediate loss/damage to property.”

Her lawyer says it’s urgent because she needs to sign the Exclusivity Agreement, promising not to “shop the deal” elsewhere. Both the parties are actively working for the agreement to turn out properly, but Jolie seems a little bit too active about this as she wants to sell her stakes offloading herself as soon as possible.
