Star Wars: The Old Republic Updates: The Legacy of the Sith expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic was created by BioWare to commemorate the game’s ten-year anniversary. Following on from their two legendary Knights of the Old Republic RPGs, The Old Republic takes players on a journey through a variety of storylines set decades before the well-known and beloved films.

Onslaught, the most recent major expansion for The Old Republic, was released in 2019, and BioWare has been hard at work on numerous chapters of that expansion since then. The Dark Descent, the final plot beat for Onslaught’s campaign, was completed a few months ago.
Players have been waiting for a huge new SWTOR expansion to accompany many other upgrades, and Legacy of the Sith will surely fill the bill.
Legacy of the Sith will transport players to the watery world of Manaan, carrying on the overarching tale of the Old Republic’s expansions by pursuing Darth Malgus, a legendary Sith. In this new story segment, the level ceiling will be raised to 80, and players will face some of The Old Republic’s most difficult challenges yet.
A Flashpoint situated on the mountainous planet of Elom and an Operation set inside a deep space research station is two new ways for players to work together in the expansion.

SWTOR: Legacy of the Sith will introduce a new element called Combat Styles in addition to new missions. This broadens the range of options available to gamers when it comes to customizing their Star Wars character.
Both new and returning players can mix and match each class’s storylines with skills from other related classes. While still playing the same campaign, a Han Solo-style Smuggler will be able to employ additional gun-toting assaults.
This allows players who prefer a particular gaming style to progress through various tales while keeping their favorite abilities. When a new character is created, this simplified experience is accompanied by improvements to itemization and load-outs, as well as an improved class design interface.
Star Wars to continue its legacy?
The Legacy of the Sith experience will begin this Christmas season, but it will not be a single update. BioWare will continue to add new content to SWTOR in the months ahead, as it has in previous expansions. These updates will run throughout 2022 to commemorate The Old Republic’s tenth anniversary and will include new events and other surprises.
