The Matrix 4 Updates: The fourth movie of The Matrix Franchise known as Matrix 4 was declared by Warner Bros on August 20 2019 Warner Bros. this movie was going to be premiere on 21st may 2021, but due to global crisis, the date is postponed till December 2021. Let’s discuss Matrix 4 in this article.
The fourth movie of this franchise was announced officially on 29 August with the director and writer Lana Wachowski directing the new movie. Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be back but Laurence and Fishburne might not return due to their particular reasons.
Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be returning as Neo and Trinity that were dead at the ending of The Matrix Revolutions. On Reeves’s return to this movie, he said that Lana Wachowski has written an amazing script with a wonderful story that connects me. So this is the reason for doing this movie.
Neo and Trinity will be further joined by Agent Johnson(Daniel Bernhardt) and Niobe(Jada Pinkett Smith) who played in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. Lambert Wilson will be also returning as Merovingian as per his schedule and there are chances that Monica Bellucci will also be returning as Persephone, his wife.

Actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen will also be making his addition to this film. Neil Patrick has also signed a role as an important character in this film. Jessica Henwick is also set to play a leading role in this movie as she can be identified from her Netflix series Iron Fist.
Jonathan Groff has also joined this cast along with Stephen Graham, Jonas, Ellen Hollman, and Andrew Caldwell. There will be also similar faces from the Sense 8 series like Brian J Smith, Toby Onwumere, and Erendira Ibarra joining this cast. It will be exciting to see both old and new characters on-screen.
The release was first scheduled on May 21 2021 but it was delayed and the date was pushed back to April 2022. But now Warner Bros has moved the date further till December 22, 2021, which will be competing with Downtown Abbey 2 and The King’s Man.
The plot is also not revealed as Wachowski did not unwrap the story. We have to assume the storylines from the theories from the movie Trinity as the One or that they are all clones.
