The Kissing Booth 4 Updates: In August 2021, Netflix aired The Kissing Booth 3, bringing the adolescent rom-com series to a close three years after its start. The franchise follows Elle Evans (Joey King) as she navigates her personal life as she reaches early adulthood, based on the same-named novels by Beth Reekles.
The Kissing Booth (Jacob Elordi) — the brother of her closest friend Lee Flynn — was the character’s first love connection in the original (Joel Courtney). Things eventually worked out for the trio after some problems caused by a friendship rule prohibiting them from having romantic relationships with each other’s family members.
In comparison to its predecessor, The Kissing Booth 2 has a larger and more intricate story. Elle was experiencing trouble with her long-distance relationship with Noah, while Lee was having issues with his new girlfriend, Rachel (Meganne Young). With the emergence of a prospective love interest in Marco Pea, her situation got much more complicated (Taylor Zakhar Perez).
The franchise is based on Beth Reekles’ same-named book series, which sadly only has three major volumes and two spin-offs called The Kissing Booth Road Trip and The Beach House. However, considering the way Kissing Booth ends, some fans may be wondering if there’s even a remote chance we’ll see Elle in college. This is all we know thus far.

Even if a fourth Kissing Booth picture isn’t made, there’s always the possibility that the tale may be revived as part of a spin-off or TV series. Netflix would be hard-pressed not to attempt to milk the story for as long as it pays, given the franchise’s popularity.
King will be busy in the next years, starring in the films Bullet Train and The In-Between, as well as a number of other projects, including the adaptation of Scott Westerfeld’s acclaimed adolescent novel Uglies, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of another actor stepping into Elle’s shoes. Plus, if Reekles continues to write, there’s always the possibility of a good old-fashioned relaunch.
It’s impossible to say when The Kissing Booth 4 will be released because Netflix hasn’t officially ordered it. However, even if Netflix approves a sequel to The Kissing Booth 3, it may not be released for a long time. The third installment concluded on a time leap, essentially freeing them from the constraints of the performers’ true ages when it came to portraying younger characters.
