Kevin Feige Acknowledged Fan’s MCU Theory That Hints At Something Big

Published by

Kevin Feige Updates: Marvel President Kevin Feige’s response to a viewer’s question during a Black Widow watch party about Valentina Allegra de Fontaine was an acknowledgment of an MCU fan theory.

Marvel fans are known for keeping keen eyes on the details of Marvel films and shows. They are always hoping to find some hidden clues that would help them discover what happens in the future of the overall story of the MCU. There are thousands of MCU fan theories but they never get acknowledged by the Studios, that is why it came as a shock when Marvel President Kevin Feige referenced a fan’s MCU theory on Twitter.

Feige hosted a watch party for Black Widow when the film was released in theatres and Disney+ earlier this month. Fans had the freedom to send their questions to Feige during the event. One question, in particular, seemed to pique his interest. The fan asked if Valentina Allegra de Fontaine would return anytime soon, Feige replied that she would surely return and he also referenced a fan theory to elaborate the answer.

The theory states that the TVA logo spelled upside-down spells VAL which could indicate a possible connection between Valentina and Kang the Conqueror. Kevin Feige has acknowledged the theory. Kang The Conqueror was first introduced in the MCU in the last episode of Loki Season 1.

In the comic books, Kang is a major villain who has fought with the biggest Marvel teams like X-Men, the Avengers, and The Fantastic Four. The events in the last episode of Loki have opened the MCU to a large number of possibilities. Kang’s variants are now at the loose and are set to cause a multiversal war. Kang’s variants are believed to be appearing all throughout Phase 4. Now that Feige has acknowledged the theory, fans are wondering if Valentina is a variant of Kang.

In the Black Widow post-credit scene, Valentina makes an appearance where she sends Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) on a secret mission to kill Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). Fans are speculating that Valentina has a bigger plan in mind- to assemble a new group of heroes. If Yelena Belova manages to recruit Kate Bishop during a mission, Valentina will have three heroes under her control- Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, and Agent John Walker whom she recruited during The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Valentina’s plan could be to set up Yelena Belova as the new Black Widow, Kate Bishop as Hawkeye, and John Walker as Captain America. Phase 4 of MCU will focus on the Multiverse and expanding the concept with WandaVision, Loki, and the upcoming Doctor Strange 2.
