Loki Series Release Date and Will we get a Mephisto comeback?

Loki Series Release Date: While the new Loki trailer had fans thinking of Mephisto, a new theory has sprung up providing another credible possibility. Mephisto is basically the equivalent of Satan in the Marvel Comics world. Being one of the most interesting villains, fans await his return.

Fans expected Mephisto’s comeback in WandaVision, Marvel’s first Disney+ show, as he had quite a history with the Scarlet Witch. However, fans were left disappointed once more since the MCU having a nearly 13-year-old history has garnered a dedicated fan base. But now, the wait seems to be coming to fruition as fans believe he may arrive in Disney+’s new show Loki as the trailer had a quick shot of a stained-glass window with an image representing Hell.

While it could be Marvel’s strategy of foreshadowing Mephisto, an MCU fan has come up with a different theory altogether. And considering all the evidence we have, it seems to make a lot of sense.

Redditor Twigryph, on a subreddit about Loki, said that the stained-glass window might point to Asgard’s resident trickster. Drawing attention to the details of the window, the fan-made his case quite compelling. According to him, the horns on the figure depicted in the window bear a striking resemblance to those on Loki’s signature helmet.

The color of its attire, which seems to be green and golden, is also associated with Loki. In addition to all this, the figure’s shoulder-length hair, its Kaunaz rune shape on its neck, and its throne also seem similar to that which Loki once held.

The figure, which the fan believes is Loki himself, is surrounded by fire, drawn on a window that resembles the ones at a Christian church and could forewarn that Loki would wreak havoc on the world.

The Loki Series is releasing on Disney Plus today i.e on 9th June, 20221 and every Wednesday we will have the new episodes as per the schedule.

Loki has always swayed between being a hero and playing the role of a villain. The new trailer has also made it quite clear that the fans will see his many sides in the new release. So, we might see Loki winning over his darker self in the climax. Or maybe Mephisto will show up after all. Either way, we’re all too excited to see how things will play out.
