Apple Watch Series 7: Find Out These Two Major Upgrades

Apple Watch Series 7 Updates: Apple is going to release its new watch this year and a lot of changes are expected. Most of them are minor but two major changes really stand out. According to Jon Prosser from MacRumors, the new Apple Watch Series 7 is set to feature a major redesign. This checks out with what Apple analyst, Min-Chi Kuo said about the watch having a new look and design last year.

The new design boasts much flatter sides and a square display with smooth edges. This is in line with Apple’s new sense of design given to other devices like iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPhone 12, and iMac. The Apple Watch Series 7 will also have a green color option along with the standard grey and white. The display will remain the same as size options stay unchanged.

Along with this, Apple is expected to add a blood glucose monitoring feature. This option would be the first of its kind and could revolutionize how much we can track and monitor using a watch. According to ETNews, the Apple Watch Series 7 will be using a non-invasive optical sensor at its back to monitor blood glucose.

Apple Watch Series 7 Feature To Set Apart

This feature could be essential in monitoring health conditions like diabetes. Apple’s sensor will be over-the-skin without using a drop of blood or an invasive planter as used previously. The tech giants have already patented the blood glucose monitoring technology. It is also noted that they are focusing on being reliable and stable before making the technology commercial.

This breakthrough sensor comes from Apple’s collaboration with Rockley Photonics. It was recently revealed that Apple is the biggest client of the British electronics start-up. The English company has developed various blood health metrics, such as blood sugar, blood pressure, and blood alcohol levels.

Apple’s new glucose monitoring feature could be a game-changer. Monitoring blood sugar levels using a watch can raise awareness for better health. This feature could alone urge people to go for the Apple Watch Series 7. Apple’s attention to health is visible in recent years with blood oxygen level and fitness tracking added.

Set for launch later this year, Apple’s watch could have improved swim-tracking as well. Many other changes including display and buttons are rumored. But those aren’t likely with this launch.
