Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is an animated version of the Jurassic World movies which shows us the kids who have been left alone to face the nightmares which originally began as a summer camp experience.
Season 1 of this animated series showed us what happened on the island during Jurassic World in 2015. Currently, season 3 is streaming on Netflix and has reached the timeline of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
EW has a talk with Scott Kreamer (showrunner of Camp Cretaceous) and Colin Trevorrow (executive producer of this series). They talked about how this show is able to fill in the gaps between the movies.
Fallen Kingdom
The opening scene shows of Fallen Kingdom (2018) shows us a group of mercenaries who were finding Indominus Rex bones on Isla Nublar after the hybrid came out from its theme park cage and was lost on the island. Camp Cretaceous season 3 uses these pieces of this information in to depict what else was going on elsewhere on this island.
Dr. Wu returns
Dr. Wu is the chief scientist of InGen which is the company behind Jurassic World theme park. Trevorrow, the director of Jurassic World: Dominion recently told that there are connections that will be made between Dominion and Camp Cretaceous.
The Scorpius Rex
With Dr. Wu in season 3, one thing is for sure that the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor were not his first attempts to create a hybrid dinosaur. In the past, Dr. Wu tried to create a creature by the name of- Scorpius Rex, which was made by fusing together different animal parts like that of Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptor. He was tasked to destroy it but failed in doing so and instead froze it for the eternal time period. The characters were shown to face two Scorpius Rexes in the third season.
Blue
That’s another familiar thing that comes in Season 3 that too with a significant role. It was seen quite some times. During the final battle against the Scorpius Rexes, Blue comes to save them as the hybrid creatures are made to die.
Leaving off the Island
Season 3 of the show continued with the timeline of Fallen Kingdom. The kids were shown finally leaving the island.
