The Mandalorian Season 3 is not coming this year to Disney+

The Mandalorian Season 3 Updates: The Mandalorian is an American space Western series that premiered in November 2019. Created by Jon Favreau for Disney+, the series has had quite a huge success, receiving a rating of 8.8/10 on IMDb and a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series is a Star Wars franchise and begins in the years after the events that occurred in Return of the Jedi (1983). It follows Pedro Pascal, a bounty hunter on the run after he is hired to retrieve “The Child”.

The first season aired in the latter half of 2019 and the second season was released a year later. However, it looks like the third season will not be following suit. The end of the year slots has already been occupied by The Book of Boba Fett, a spin-off series, as was teased in the post-credits of The Mandalorian Season 2 finale last year.

The spin-off will feature Temuera Morrison in the lead as Boba Fett along with Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand and George Lucas. It features bounty hunter Fett from The Mandalorian and other Star Wars productions.

So when will The Mandalorian Season 3 release?

Although Lucasfilm has confirmed that the preproduction for the third season has already begun, there is no official date yet for when the third installment will be releasing.

With this year’s slots already filled, we can expect the third season to release by 2022, hopefully.

The cast includes various stars including Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Chris Bartlett as RA-7 Droid, and Carl Weathers as Greef Karga. Other members include Misty Rosas, Omid Abtahi, Temuera Morrison, and Ming-Na Wen.
