Rick & Morty Season 5 Trailer Hypes Voltron Parody & Other Wild Adventures

Rick & Morty Season 5 Updates: The final trailer for Rick and Morty, due out next month, features the wacky sci-fi stories that lie ahead for the mismatched pair.

The final trailer for Rick and Morty features the wacky sci-fi stories that await the titular duo. Since its first premiere in 2013, Rick and Morty has been praised for their quick wit and tackling various sci-fi tropes.

In a major show of confidence in the series, Adult Swim renewed it for 70 episodes in 2018, ensuring that the show will stick around for a while. After long interruptions between the last few seasons, Rick and Morty will arrive at almost surprising speed, even despite the pandemic disrupting major productions over the past year or so.

Rick and Morty Season 5 premieres on June 20, just over a year after the end of Season 4. Once again, drunken mad scientist Rick and his grandson, sweet Morty, will embark on new, wild adventures across space and time.

Rick and Morty Season 4 ended with an episode dealing with Space Beth, which will continue to feature the series in the future. Overall, however, Rick and Morty seem to branch out into new territory.

On 23rd of May, Adult Swim unveiled the latest trailer. The clip gets off to a memorable start, with the Smith House surrounded by armed soldiers calling for the arrest of Rick and Morty.

Then, on The Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage,” the rest of the trailer features the excitement to come, which involves the destruction of various American landmarks, a Rick clone, and more Jerry.

Rick and Morty  also look set to return to the show’s beloved parodies, some of which were teased in the trailer. This includes a Hellraiser episode and a Voltron-esque mission that involves the whole family, which is shown through several previews here.

Plus, this Rick and Morty trailer highlights the show’s meta-humor, like the moment Rick says he’s going “deus ex machina this sh **”. The part where Morty comments on how little time he has spent in school since Rick moved in also elicits laughter.

Rick and Morty will be staying much longer than Season 5, so fans don’t have to worry about whether this will be the last season. Excitement for what lies ahead. Fortunately, it’s all set to kick off next month.
