Prodigal Son Season 3 Updates: Created by Chris Fedak and Sam sklaver, Prodigal son is an American procedural drama television series. The series was first sired on Fox channel on September of the year 2019.
The series was issued with the full season in the october of the same year. During the May of 2020 the series received a second season which premiered in January 2021.
However the series finale of the second season of prodigal son was very much exciting. The show will not be coming back with a third season. This decision was taken because of the low rating of the show despite it’s storyline being a good one.
Still the show’s creators shared their ideas about what prodigal season 3 would have been about if it was aired.

Cr: David Giesbrecht / FOX.Prodigal son features the story of malcolm bright who is the son of the infamous serial killer Martin Whitly (known as the surgeon). During his childhood, Malcolm helped the put his father behind bars. Later he works with the FBI and helps them in solving many cases. After that he becomes an NYPD officer.
Fate has it that a malcolm is confronted with his past life when a serial killer starts killing people with Martin’s killing method. Malcolm once again comes in contact with his father to understand the nature of this new serial killer. So martin has to solve this case before more innocent lives are at risk while fighting his inner demons.
What could have been
In the last moments of season 2 of prodigal son we saw a standoff between Malcolm and Martin after finding a missing women in the forest. Marin tries to run away once again but malcolm catches him this time. Just when martin tries to stab malcolm with his knife, malcolm turned the knife towards martin and stabbed him instead.
The co-creator of prodigal son Sam Sklaver told TV line that the third season would have followed a massive storyline about the aftermath of the vents of the second season.
