In Treatment Season 4 Updates: After a hiatus of a painfully long decade, In Treatment is finally coming to HBO with another season. Premiering in January 2008, the show has had quite a successful run of three seasons, with an 8.3/10 rating on IMDb.

The show is based on an award-winning Israeli drama that features a psychologist who uncovers disturbing personal truths about his patients. As the show progresses, the doctor having his own problems and struggles.

However, this season would be a little different than the preceding ones. with ten years between the last release and comeback, it would be quite difficult to have the latest installment continue as I used to be. The fourth season can be considered as a reboot of the show.

The previous season’s Doctor Paul Weston, taking on patients until he realized that he had his own inner demons to fight off. In an attempt to overcome his fears and doubts, he goes back to his mentor Dr. Gina Toll, and finally reconciles with the fact that he needs to go out and make new friends instead of turning his patients into one.

The latest season, however, features psychoanalyst, Dr. Brooke Taylor, as she solves modern-day concerns such as those regarding the current global pandemic and shifts in cultural and social landscapes. Similar to Dr. Weston, she too has her personal problems she needs to deal with.

In Treatment Season 4: Release date

The first and second episodes will premiere together on May 23rd this year on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT. As of now, the show will have a total of 24 episodes, with two new episodes releasing every week.

Season 4: Cast

While the previous seasons featured Gabriel Byrne as the lead, the latest installment has Uzo Aduba playing the role of Dr. Taylor. Joining her are Anthony Ramos, John Benjamin Hickey and Quintessa Swindell who will appear as her patients. In addition to them, Liza Colón-Zayas stars as Brooke’s longtime friend Rita and Joel Kinnaman as her on and off boyfriend Adam.

The fourth season has Jennifer Schuur and Joshua Allen as the showrunners.
