PlayStation 5 Arrives Six Months After Global Debut!!

PlayStation 5 Updates: It’s officially going to be put up for pre-order from May 17 onwards after 12 pm. The official Sony Center website ShopAtSC.com has marked the PS5 Digital Edition at a price of Rs. 39,990. According to reports, it is assumed that the pre-orders will be reaching our homes by May 24.

But, there is no signs of an exact release date in India where we could find even more affordable options. The last time when Sony India announced PS5 pre-orders on January 12, they started to ship the orders after a span of almost 3 weeks starting from February 2. This time, it seems that they are going to arrive at our doorsteps much before the assumed dates. Anyhow, it took Play Station 5 Digital Edition to launch in India a span of six months after its global release.

But, there will be a question of delivery for many because of our current situation where there is an essential – only delivery policy keeping in mind the second wave of the COVID – 19 pandemic in India. Currently, Sony India is the only gadget brand that has announced the launch of Play Station 5 Digital Edition on their official site. Other gadgets company like Gadgets 360 have said that they haven’t heard anything from Sony India in that context.

IGN India reported that the May 24 delivery date of the PS5 Digital Edition will “likely” be exclusive to ShopAtSC, which is the official site for Sony India but didn’t provide any reasons for the same. Sony India chose to be silent on that claim.

This is not the first time that PS5 Digital Edition has been seen in India. Croma listed it on its website for a long time but that too was taken down for some reasons. Play Station 5 was about to release in India in the month of February but that was without the digital-only version. But ShopAtSC has put up a banner that showcased the PS5 Digital Edition that would go for a sale for the first time in India on May 17 at 12pm. Soon after that, the banner was taken down as on the same day Play Station 5 was being restocked. But, now finally the Play Station 5 Digital Edition will be up for sale.

According to all the stores like Flipkart, ShopAtSC, Games The Shop, Prepaid Gamer Card, and Vijay Sales, the PlayStation 5 will be back in stock in India on Monday. Though one can imagine that prominent retailers like Amazon, Croma, and Reliance Digital were involved with the first wave of PS5 pre-orders. So, this time they might be involved again.
