P-Valley Season 2 Updates: P-Valley is an American drama television series that is an adaptation of Hall’s play “Pussy Valley”. The show has received many positive reviews from critics. It was one of the highest-rated shows to emerge in 2020 with a constantly increasing fan base.

The story follows the lives of the employees working at a strip club called The Pynk in the fictional city of Chucalissa, Mississippi. The show does justice to the plot by showcasing the kaleidoscopic life of the strippers without sugar-coating the challenges faced by them.

The first season was very much praised for depicting the lives of Black women strippers. The characters are very rich in their essence, making them as authentic as possible. The show also speaks about certain social issues like colorism, inequality, acceptance between the storylines.

UPCOMING SEASON

The show was renewed for a second season after its third episode aired because of its popularity and all the positive response the show received. No official release date has been announced yet of P-Valley Season 2. Due to the pandemic delaying the usual shooting schedules of many television shows and movies, it is likely that the new season might get delayed as well. Katori Hall said in an interview that the fans can expect things to get tensed between Uncle Clifford and Autumn as she is now the part-owner of The Pink. Mercedes will continue to struggle with respectability politics and the way she wants her life to be. Hall also mentioned that the show is likely to address the COVID-19 crisis and the show is expected to move beyond Mississippi as Lil Murda and Keyshawn continue to fail in their respective careers.
