The Underground Railroad Season 2 Updates: Even though there were many directors in the year 2010 who made a mark because of their movies, but Barry Jenkins made an impact on the audience.
Moonlight was also one of the movies by this 41 – year old American filmmaker. This came eight years after the release of Medicine for Melancholy. This movies too became the talk of the town after their particular releases.
Moonlight was awarded with the Academy Award for the Best Picture in 2016. Barry didn’t stop with it, instead gifted his audience with his marvellous work in the movie If Beale Street Could Talk which released in the year 2018.
Now, Barry had moved to the television, and still has been impressing his audience with his ten parts series The Underground Railroad which was up on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, May 14 of this year.
After the release of its first series, fans have been waiting eagerly to hear about its second season.
But, Amazon Prime has never confirmed any of the news following the release of The Underground Railroad 2. And the audiences also should not wait for another season as the Underground Railroad has been billed as a limited series.

Talking about the series, the direction of this series Barry Jenkins had shared that the experience he gained by this movie made him reassess his self relationship with his past and culture. He also said that if somebody asked him about his ancestors before the directing this series, then he would have straight forwardly answered that he is a descendant of the enslaved Africans, but now after the series he would answer anybody that he is a descendant of the blacksmiths, midwives, herbalist and spiritualist with pride.
He also shared with the audience during that interview that while making the show, he got attached and was binded by the purest form of his own ancestors. That series has resulted in increasing his closeness with the reverence of his ancestors.
