Money Heist Season 5 is officially in the final stages of its production for its fifth and final season, with new episodes expected to be released by the end. One of the crew members brought this news about this Spanish series is stating that it is to wind down production from the set of Money Heist season five. They took to Instagram to confirm the news and met with some tearful and desperate responses from fans.
Art director Abdon Alcañiz has confirmed the news and said that Money Heist has finally reached its final week for the production. He has contributed to the series set design since La Casa De Papel initiated in 2017, After having garnered success in Spain, Netflix introduced the series to international audiences and revived the series for more seasons starting from the third. Production on Money Heist’s last two seasons began in Madrid in August last year and is finally coming to an end.
Cast members such as Pedro Alonso, Itziar Ituño, and Miguel Herrán have already confirmed they have completed their shoots and are in the final stages of filming.
Álvaro Morte who is the series lead confirmed that he will not be returning to his role as the criminal mastermind popularly known by the fans as The Professor.
Money Heist fans have now got the perfect indication of the series departure.
Alcañiz confirmed the news on May 10 by taking to Instagram with a photo of an old incomplete behind the scene set.
His updates were met with heartfelt reactions from the fan’s emotional and die-hard fans.
One of Alcañiz’ followers wrote that he will miss the guys and thanking them for the entertainment they provided over the years. A second fan said posted on Reddit stating he is ready for it.
New episodes of Money Heist haven’t been seen since the fourth season on Netflix.
The season had a dramatic ending where The Professor’s hideout was infiltrated by inspector Alicia Sierra. Some fans are still grieving over the death of fan-favorite Nairobi played by Alba Flores.
Netflix has stated that the last ten episodes will be released before the end of 2021. However, post-production is yet to be done so season five isn’t expected to arrive before September
