For All Mankind Season 3 Updates: After its first season being released in November 2019, For All Mankind has been received well by fans across the globe, giving it a 7.7/10 rating on IMDB. With the second season coming to a close by the end of this month, fans are expectant for a third season. Will we be getting a For All Mankind Season 3?

Apple TV has now officially announced a For All Mankind Season 3 renewal ahead of its time, much like how season 2 was announced even before the first season was aired. The much-awaited news was announced last December.

Filming for the new season began in February this year with Krys Marshall, who plays the role of Danielle Poole in the show, posted an image on her Instagram handle, posing alongside Shantel VanSanten (Karen Baldwin), with the caption “We’re baaaaaaackkkk! #season3″.

What to expect from Season 3?

Since seasons 1 and 2 both have 10 episodes each, fans can expect the same with the third season as well. There is no official release date yet, however, we estimate an early 2022 release considering how the filming for season 1 concluded in March 2019, the shows 1st season was released on 1st November 2019 and the filming for season 2 picked up in December 2019 as soon as season 1 finished airing.

Season 3: Plot

Considering how the past two seasons have a decade long gap between them, with the first season following Space Race in the later part of the ’60s-’70s where the Soviet Union are the first to land on the moon, and the second season continues the story in the ‘80s during the Cold War, fans can expect the third season to follow suit with the ‘90s. the decade when the Hubble Space Telescope and International Space Station were launched.

While we can confirm Krys Marshall and Shantel VanSanten being back for season 3, the other cast members remain unconfirmed. We can expect the season 2 finale to shed some light on what the creators have in store for the other characters.
