RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 Updates: The series is created and presented by RuPaul Charles. He also mentors the contestants and plays the role of Head judge. In 2015 it became the highest rated television show. Earlier it aired on Logo TV but then moved to VH1 in 2017.
‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ first season came out on 2 February 2009. It has a huge fan following. It revolves around the contestants who aim to become “America’s next Drag Superstar”. New challenges are given every week. Till now thirteen seasons of the hit series have come.
the series has been highly praised. It has received many awards. In 2018, it became the sole series to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program & Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program the same year.
In 2019, it ranked 93rd in the list of best 100 TV shows of 21st century by The Guardian.
The fans are attracted towards the totally glamorous outfits and great personalities of the Drag Queens . The season 14 is highly anticipated.
Season 13 came on 1 January 2021 on VH1 and ended on 23 April 2021. The screentime of each episode was 42-60 minutes.
RuPaul’s Drag Race is produced by the company World of Wonder. It called for cast for the next season i.e. season 14 on 23 November 2020 and the deadline was 15 January 2021. This is a positive indication as this means that the cast for the brand new season has already been shortlisted. The Season 14 will begin to fil in Summer of 2021. No official release date has yet been announced.
Every season of RuPaul’s Drag Race comes up in the starting of the year and between each season there remains a gap of around 11 to 13 months. According to this calculation the new season is expected to release in the beginning of the year 2022.
RuPaul will be coming back alongwith a panel of judges which could possibly include some guest celebrities like Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande. Many popular celebrities from the industry appear on this show.
This show is the origin of many other international reality series like ‘Drag Race Thailand’, ‘Canada’s Drag Race’, ‘Drag Race Thailand’ and many more. The Spanish version of this show will come in 2021.
