Agent Smith, who appeared to be lost at the end of the first Matrix trilogy, could resurrect by using Windows Restore to rebuild his operating system to a previous moment in time.
Smith’s latest physical presence for The Matrix 4 is well inside the franchise’s lore, implying that a new actor (Jonathan Groff) might play the legendary baddie, out for vengeance on both humans and machines.
