Jupiter’s Legacy Creator Calls Netflix Show Avengers Meets Godfather 2

Jupiter’s Legacy Updates: One of the first releases of the Netflix acquired Millarworld Universe is that the TV series Jupiter’s Legacy. The series is thanks to releasing on Netflix globally in May 2021.

Here’s what we all know thus far about season 1 of Jupiter’s Legacy. Jupiter’s Legacy is an upcoming Netflix Original superhero-drama supported by the comic of an equivalent name by creator Mark Millar.  The superhero drama is going to be the first title from the Millarworld comics to release on Netflix.

Creator Mark Millar teases the epic scale of his Netflix superhero show, Jupiter’s Legacy, calling it a mixture of The Avengers, The Godfather Part II and 2001: an area Odyssey.

Supported Millar’s magazine series of an equivalent name, Jupiter’s Legacy’s cast includes Josh Duhamel because of the Utopian/Sheldon Sampson, Ben Daniels as Walter Sampson, and Leslie Bibb as Grace Sampson.

The cast also includes Tyler Mane because of the villain Blackstar, also as Elena Kampouris, and Andrew Horton as Chloe and Brandon Sampson, the superpowered children of Sheldon and beauty, who struggle to measure up to the immense legacy of their parents.

The first images from the show revealed the detailed Millarworld costumes, proving that Millar and showrunner, Sang Kyu Kim, haven’t strayed too far away from the source material. Little else beyond those images have been seen, though, and fans are desperate for any news on what is going to be Millar’s first big collaboration with the most important streaming service within the world.

What the Creators has to say about Jupiter’s Legacy?

Screen Rant

It’s part-2001, part-Avengers, part-Godfather II. It’s a 50-year story self-contained inside one franchise. It’s got a cast of fifty or 60 super-characters. The story starts in 1929 and runs until the top of your time. Ambitious ideas are being rewarded.

Jupiter’s Legacy is going to be one of the simplest TV shows ever. Of course, the creator would talk up his own series, but there is no doubting his ambition, particularly if he’s trying to blend the high concept sci-fi of 2001 with the superhero action of The Avengers and therefore the cross-timeline family drama of The Godfather Part II.

Whether Jupiter’s Legacy actually pulls that off is another matter entirely. Shot in 2019, a process interrupted by the first showrunner’s exit over “creative differences,” the series has clearly had an extended, hard road to releasing.

Hopefully, that’s a symbol of the immense post-production required to bring Millar’s vision to life instead of signs of trouble, but with just a couple of months left before the discharge, more footage should roll out soon, and audiences are going to be ready to structure their own minds
