On March 18, a four-hour version of Snyder’s original vision for the 2017 film will be released on Netflix. Snyder has been steadily teasing the film on social media with images, animations, and new teasers that preview his vastly different version of the film to build anticipation for its upcoming release.

Snyder also repurposed hours of unused footage and has called in main stars for reshoots to bring his Justice League to life. For Snyder’s Justice League, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Ray Fisher all returned to film pickup shots, but all attention will be on Joker’s return.

Snyder called Jared Leto on the phone and asked him to reprise his role as the legendary Batman villain for a new scene set in the Knightmare universe. It will be the film’s first entirely new sequence, and it will focus on Batman and the Joker’s chaotic, unseen past in the DCEU.

Snyder has now announced a new trailer, which emphasizes on Batman’s role in Snyder’s version of the movie. The teaser starts with a picture of Batman from below, with the voices of several characters playing over the top. Before Joker’s ominous cackle takes over, the trailer features Lex Luthor, Darkseid, and Martian Manhunter.

Although Batman is the centre of attention at the start of the video, he can be seen joining the rest of the team of Justice League, with Superman accompanying him in the final shot of the entire squad standing together. Have a

Not only will Leto return, but Martian Manhunter will make his screen debut, and Darkseid’s role will be fleshed out even further. Snyder has also teased a jaw-dropping cameo, but sources differ about whether or not this is the Martian Manhunter.

Snyder has also stated that the film would finish on a massive cliffhanger, indicating a sequel. About the fact that Warner Bros. and DC are unlikely to deliver a sequel, it would certainly be an exciting moment.

However, the new Justice League teaser seems to hint at a deeper look at Batman as a superhero. The film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice focused on Affleck’s understanding of the character, but it also pointed at a much larger Batman past that the DCEU has yet to discuss.

With Affleck exiting the show, Snyder’s Justice League would be the last chance to fully fill out the role as the director wanted. Affleck will feature in The Flash film, but it’s obvious that the Snyder Cut will be his crowning achievement.
