James Gunn Is Consulting on How The Guardians of the Galaxy Are Used in Thor 4

Thor 4 Updates: James Gunn is confabulating on Thor: Love and Thunder in respect to the fate of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the upcoming Marvel film.

The announcement came at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, after the success of Thor: Ragnarok, director Taika Waititi is back to the MCU with this project. He is reunited with Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.

Natalie Portman will be returning as Jane Foster, but conceiving a bigger role by playing the superhero as Mighty Thor. Jamie Alexander’s Lady Sif will also return along with characters from Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Avengers: Infinity War also made it clear that about their great equation with Thor.

With all this in the scene, it is sensible that Gunn is somehow a part of Thor: Love and Thunder and turns to be the main creative force behind MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy. When asked about the project by a fan on Twitter, The Filmmaker established that he is consulting for the project. He also cleared that the cosmic heroes are in a good place with Waititi.

What James Gunn has to say about Thor 4?

Other than Gunn and Russo, Waititi is the third filmmaker to manage the characters as they factor in Thor: Love and Thunder.

It’s also worth noting that Gunn has been taking advice with the Russos about how to go about the cosmic characters and also about Gamora’s fate in Infinity War.

Having said that, it is also clear that Waititi will be free to use and work on the characters as per his will. This has just been done to ensure that the continuity and the essence are preserved.

Though Gunn and Waititi’s humor is well-known to the world, their sense of comedy is very different from each other. With this in mind, it is going to be quite interesting to see how the Thor: Love and Thunder filmmaker will direct the course for the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film in his hands.

At present, it is not clear up to what extent they would be involved in the God of Thunder’s forthcoming adventure or even whether they will be a part of the film for too long. But one thing we learned from Infinity War is that if Thor comes with any of the Guardians of the Galaxy, it is definitely going to be spectacular.
