Dickinson Season 2 Update: Dickinson was one of the first shows to debut in 2019 on Apple TV+, a new subscription channel. Actress Hailee Steinfeld will return as the iconic poet herself after earning herself a devoted fanbase following series one. It did not come as much of a surprise after the first season’s end that Dickinson was renewed.
Austin Dickinson (Adrian Enscoe and best friend Sue Gilbert (Ella Huntbrother )’s Emily Dickinson is able to get married.
Austin learned that his sister had a very passionate relationship with his future bride-to-be just before the big day, but he was assured that Sue was able to choose him because she was already pregnant with his child.
Austin, however, found Sue weeping in a filthy wedding dress not long before the ceremony as she had a prenuptial adventure with Emily and was also moaning over a poem her friend had written.
Furious about the situation:
Austin banned his sister from the wedding and locked her in a room so that she couldn’t attend, angry at the situation.
Emily was hopeless at this stage and kept picturing her own funeral and what it would be like. However, this thought just spurs her on to keep working tirelessly to prove her visions false to everyone.
So Emily assures him that when her father actually lets her out, she’s going to be a brilliant poet and she’ll spend the rest of her days writing poems.
Dickinson Season 2: Release Date Update
Apple TV+ was so optimistic in Dickinson’s potential success that, well before season one debuted in 2019, the dark comedy was offered a second run. Fortunately, there’s not too much time to wait until Dickinson’s new episodes are available to watch. On Friday, January 8, 2021, Dickinson’s season two will debut on Apple TV+ this week.
So it’s not going to be just the first episode in which viewers will get trapped. As Apple TV+ has already given the show the green light for a third run, Dickinson won’t finish with season two.
A release date has not been confirmed for series three, but it’s still very early days, keeping in mind that the second season has not even concluded yet. If due to the coronavirus pandemic, there are no further breaks in shooting, season three could come out sometime in 2022.
