Black Panther 2: How will it honor Chadwick Boseman?

Published by

Black Panther 2 Update: Chadwick Boseman lost his life in a battle with colon cancer which he had been hiding for four long years until suffered a relapse. The 43-year-old had become noticeably scrawny but was still responsive to the treatment and was positive of having a weight gain to get back in his mantle of Black Panther.

Apart from his family, only a small portion of his inner circle was aware of his deteriorating health with the severity varying over time. Even Kevin Feige, Marvel’s chief creative was informed through an urgent mail just about an hour before the news of his passing away broke out, sending shock waves all across the world.

The production team is still striving to process the grief of losing him, a pure human being inside out and a throbbing inspiration both on and off-screen. The future of this economically successful franchise seems to be a far distant concern in comparison to this disastrous emotional ride his family and friends are going through.

Black Panther 2: Latest News Update

Marvel and Disney were muddled as to how to continue the Black Panther’s legacy with Boseman in the eponymous role, his appearance in future crossovers, and Marvel Studios Executive, Feige recently let the word out on how they are planning to progress.

He affirmed that the sequel will not recast Boseman, and will try its best to honor him.

” Wakanda is a place to further explore with characters and different subcultures. This was always and initially the primary focus of the next story,” Feige said in an interview with Deadline.

Reports were also flashed of Marvel studios holding up the proposition of forging a CGI double to give the character a closure or else hitting the spotlight on another actor in the lead.

But Kevin also took down the rumors saying that they not going to opt for a CGI Chadwick nor would be recasting T’Challa.

“Director Ryan Coogler is working on the script with all the respect and genius that he has, so it was always about furthering the mythology and the inspiration of Wakanda. There’s also the task of honoring and respecting the ongoing learnings and teachings from Chad as well.”

The film is currently earmarked for a release on July 8, 2022. Stay tuned in to get the latest updates from time to time.
