Reviews about Sanditon

From the moment this series aired on Masterpiece PBS I was hooked. This show was so well acted that each actor’s performance drew me in in an emotional way that I didn’t know existed. It was deep emotion and still is. Andrew Davies is brilliant!.

The story, cast, cinematography, costumes could not have been more perfectly set up. However, after watching I feel as follows:

  1. I’m finding myself wanting more because this story needs a happy ending as Jane Austen wanted. WE NEED SEASON.
  2. ! I’m hoping that we will get a season-2 to continue this beautiful love story. This series has also brought me in touch with the most fierce group of fans worldwide. It is a pleasure to be able to chat with everyone and dissect the series every day. I watch it continuously as each time I watch I notice new things. It is worth it! So good!.
Sanditon Season 1

I absolutely loved Sanditon! A wonderful story which was so refreshing in many ways from the point of view of it involving & focusing on the lives of other interesting characters & not just the main characters.

Who was charming & had that Jane– eques feistiness that we all Love!. A friend had gotten this DVD for my sister & me to watch as we were reunited as restrictions lifted & I could visit her up in the Blue Mountains in Australia. We ended up binge-watching this series & I stayed another day so I could finish watching it together!!!.

Well done to all involved & the writer. Beautiful performances everywhere & I totally felt invested(as you can tell) & transported into that era. But, in some ways in a more uplifting way than previous Jane Austen stories.

I wonder if it’s not time to try again in terms of offering the series to the American Market?…or perhaps Australia (to the colonies so to speak lol). We soon enjoyed it we watched all the extras on the DVD we could & then googled to see if there was a second Series but alas it said it was not to be as yet. We are hungry for more of the stories of that ensemble.

Let’s watch and enjoy this Historical series.
