Drew Barrymore, a 45-year-old actress was divorced in 2016. After a five years hiatus from dating the actress reveals on Tuesday episode of the Drew Barrymore show that she recently took the first step to getting back out there and is dipping her toe back in the pool of dating.
She tells her guest, Roes Mathews that she recently made a gesture and sent a little care package to someone.

Everybody wants a response for their gesture which she thinks is wrong. Also adds that quarantine highlighted that part of dating she thinks it’s great as it will force is to go back to things like letter writing which she thinks the most romantic communication.
She said she was not closed for business, but for the last five years, she has been exactly in that mentality, thinking that she just doesn’t have the bandwidth.
That point of view was the result of her divorce which she told on Sunday’s today with Willie Geist in October.
It took her five years to be able to speak with strength, perspective articulation, hindsight and see everything they did was right as when they were getting divorced it felt like everything was just wrong she thinks it applies to everyone who thinks that something will be forever and which is not which can be very hard.
She thinks she hasn’t recovered from it and she doesn’t know how to open up again which is like something closed and stayed closed Barrymore adds she is scared to find love again.
